TEACHING WISELY: KNOWING HOW????
It requires that I can be an unlock door as a teacher. I need to be welcoming freshness in what I do, how I teach.
I have reflected in this chapter how powerful are threee key words in ordet to create a space for learning with/to my students. OPENNESS, boundaries and HOSPITALITY.
The one that I want to do it more intentionally (not because that I don't) is really make them feel..."I am glad you are here". Each of my student is SACRED and when they are in my classroom and sharing with me not only information but who THEY ARE. I feel like Moses...I should take my shoes off because I am on holy ground.
TEACHING MORALLY: THE ETHIC OF CARING
I was reflecting about only the word care after reading this chapter ...and I feel that if I care for my students...I accept them as who they are and I show it. It means more too, but this is the beginning of..
C ome as You ...

"Everything we do as teacher has moral implications" so true too. I always have being challenge with the quote "A Teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops" Henry Adams. This sums up what I read in this chapter and what I am learning in my Moral Development Class with a GREAT TEACHER.
Hi Sr. Eloise,
ReplyDeleteI loved your CARE symbolism!! I also agree that it is important that students feel they are sacred to us. We have a blessed opportunity to lead them closer to Christ and as their teacher we need to keep that as our focus. Thank you for sharing (Moses:)
