A CULTURE OF FEAR

Blessed be God!

"Be not afraid" does not say that we should not have fears- and if it did, we could dismiss it as an impossible counsel of perfection. Instead it says that we do not need to be our fears, quite different proposition."
I have a lot of things that I could share about this chapter that they confront me but I want to share that I am quite of learning to express my fears. I know them but most of the time I wont tell them.
So I hope to be able to "come to the realization that I could have fear but did not need to be fear that I could speak and act from a place of honesty about being fearful rather than from the fear itself. "

GOD'S GRACE ;)

  1. Thanks Sr. Eloisa for sharing your experience. I appreciate that you are aware of your fear and you acknowledge it. That is something I too learned in my life as a Jesuit. It indeed brings growth and courage in us. In the Gospels the phrase "be not be afraid" is found many times and we need to trust in the words of Jesus when we become aware of our fear and acknowledge them. We may not be able to get rid of our fears but we can learn how to deal with them.
